Weymouth BID Supports Seafood Festival

The 8th Pommery Dorset Seafood Festival, taking place 11-12 July 2015 in Weymouth, is delighted to announce that Weymouth BID will be supporting the event this year alongside Jurassic Skyline, Weird Fish, Finn Square and Piddle Brewery.   

Weymouth BID already supports a number of events to help bring new business and footfall to the town.  These include Waterfest, the Big Christmas Event and Feast Weymouth. 

BID Chair, Steve Newstead of Wetherspoons, says “The 50,000 visitor footfall over the Pommery Dorset Seafood Weekend is significant.  By supporting this award winning event, we are able to raise the profile of the ‘We are Weymouth’ brand and visitor website and promote the other events over the year including Feast Weymouth - an autumn promotion of local food and drink.”

“The We are Weymouth stand will be located on Custom House Quay, so come and find out what other great events and promotions are planned for 2015 both as a visitor and potential other sponsorship opportunities for businesses,” continues Steve.

In addition to their support, Weymouth BID is in good company alongside some strong regional and national brands.  Visitors can also enjoy a wonderful array of local seafood stands, visitors this year can get ‘hands on’ in the Jurassic Skyline ‘How To’ Zone, as well as sit and dine in the ‘Hive Beach Cafe at Finn Square’ pop up restaurant.
