DORSET SEAFOOD FESTIVAL POPS THE CORK WITH POMMERY CHAMPAGNE

 

Dorset Seafood Festival is delighted to announce Pommery Champagne as the title sponsor of the 2010 event. Established in Reims in 1836, Pommery is one of the most respected Grand Marques in Champagne. Sara Hicks, UK Manager for Champagne Pommery comments “We are delighted to be sponsoring the Dorset Seafood Festival. Champagne and seafood is a perfectly matched combination, and we see this as a great partnership opportunity. We look forward to the 10th and 11th July!”  

 

Pommery Champagne joins a raft of high profile sponsors and supporters of this year’s event including; Wessex Water, The Co-Operative Membership, Wines of Chile and Lloyd’s TSB. ‘The 2009 Dorset Seafood Festival was an extremely successful event with approximately 50,000 visitors and one that really brings the Dorset community together. At Lloyds TSB Commercial, we take a relationship-led approach to banking, forging strong relationships with our customers and the community, and are delighted to be aligned with an event that promotes Dorset food producers and local fare. We have many local customers that operate across the entire scope of the marine industry and we’re focused on supporting them in every way possible,’ Jeremy Weekes, Relationship Manager for Lloyds TSB Commercial commented about the decision to support the event.

 

Commenting on the Wessex Water sponsorship, Marilyn Smith, Head Smith of Corporate Services, said, 'Wessex Water is delighted to be supporting the 2010 Dorset Seafood Festival. It's a great community event that attracts a broad range of visitors from outside the area. With tourism being so important to the local economy it's great to assist with making the event happen.'

 

Fay Bowden, Co-operative Membership Manager said 'The Dorset Seafood Festival is intrinsically linked to the celebration of local food and driving increased awareness for sustainable fishing. The Co-operative is leading the way in supporting and selling sustainably-sourced fish and is therefore delighted to be a sponsor of the 2010 event.’

Joe Wadsack, wine expert and previous BBC Saturday Kitchen presenter will be appearing for his third year to provide entertaining commentary on the programme of events. With only 14 weeks until the event we are well underway in delivering an outstanding festival,’ said Dorset Seafood Festival chairman Roger Dalton.
