Ara Wines Return

12 March 2014

The 7th Pommery Dorset Seafood Festival welcomes back award winning wine sponsor Ara Wines as its official still wine sponsor on the 12th and 13th July 2014, Weymouth Harbour, Dorset.   Good news for Dorset’s award winning event as it continues to attract 50,000 visitors to the area over the weekend.

Ara UK & European Manager, Elizabeth Wilson said: “After a fantastic 2013 at the Dorset Seafood Festival we’re delighted to be back for more and will be sampling and selling our award-winning wines from our stunning single vineyard – from the sunniest corner of Marlborough, New Zealand to the sunniest corner of Dorset.”

Dorset Seafood Festival Chairman, Roger Dalton commented: “As well as Ara Wines, we have been successful in securing further repeat sponsorship with the return of Lloyds Bank, Weird Fish Clothing, Piddle Brewery and of course a five year deal with Pommery Champagne.”

The 2013 event took place in blazing sunshine and generated the biggest crowds seen in its 6-year history. A crowd estimated in excess of 50,000 people enjoyed Pommery Champagne, seafood and associated goods from the 90 stands situated around Weymouth’s stunning harbour-side.

The 2014 Pommery Dorset Seafood Festival will offer something for everyone.    Events include interactive demonstrations, competitions, chefs, filleting demos, champagne pouring activities, music and entertainment, crab picking, oysters, expert food and wine matching from Ara Wines.
